Magnetic declination

Magnetic declination is the angle between magnetic north and true north.

Set magnetic declination to define magnetic or true North direction.

how to set magnetic declination

Set magnetic declination value for the terrain you fly over in “Magnetic declination” menu item.
Current aircraft position in space is displayed in the “Position” item. If magnetic declination DB is installed, set minimum and maximum values of magnetic declination for the terrain with full degrees of latitude and longitude in the “Declination range” item.

For example, if current coordinates are N55°39’18 / E37°36’12, then the declination range will be displayed for the terrain between N55° – 56° latitude and E37° – 38° longitude and for January 2016 the declination value will be equal to 10.4° – 11.1°.
